Ship Shape Contract Services allows operatives in business of their own account to really get ahead in Construction. We create an environment where you can concentrate on winning and delivering projects while we take care of all the administrative work that slows you down. We save you money on unclaimed personal expenses and bulk purchase of the services you must have such as insurance, bank accounts, CSCS and personal tax returns. We make you money by winning quality projects that we can subcontract to you.

How does it work?

We subcontract to the end contractor to supply a wide variety of construction services. We supply those construction services with our own employees and by subcontracting to operatives genuinely in business of their own account – such as you. You discount your contract rates by 4% and £3.00 per week. We invoice the customer and pay your invoices as self employed or to your company bank account. We ensure all debts are paid by the end contractor. We recommend you to your bank of choice for free bank accounts set-up if required. We provide £5million public liability insurance and accident insurance including income support of up £300 per week for up to 2 years. We set up free CSCS safety testing, CIS registration and administrate your expenses and personal tax return. In many cases your tax refund will more than replace the reduction in your contract rates effectively providing all the other services for free.

A dedicated personal Consultant will stay with you throughout, updating your CV, canvassing our extensive network of Construction Companies and Agencies to win projects that we can subcontract to you, and generally working with you to advance your career and income. Put your Consultant’s phone number in your mobile. You’ll have someone on your side to consult with all times. If they don’t have the answers or help you need on the spot – they’ll bend over backwards to go and get what you need.

If you are not in business on your own account, but rather take up direct employment with Ship Shape, don’t worry all Contract Services benefits still apply to you.

Don’t forget, you can work on any contractor or agency project you like. You simply provide any new company with the banking and CIS details that we provide you on a wallet sized card. We’ll contact and contract with the end contractor and administrate the project to final payment.
